In a series of executive orders and memorandums this year, the White House put forth requirements for increased security infrastructure for federal entities, with a focus on Zero Trust.

To help our government customers better implement Zero Trust, VMware recommends a phased approach consisting of five pillars (see image below). This approach allows agencies the flexibility to decide which pillars are most important, and to even take a non-linear approach to meet organization needs.

This VMware Tech Zone article breaks down the approach and provides further guidance on how agencies can implement a strategic Zero Trust program that spans quality software, colleague security, and detect and defend.
