Replacing a classic MPLS data line with a modern SD-WAN solution

Sumitomo Bakelite Europe (SBHPP) is a world leader in high-performance plastics solutions. Among other products, it produces phenolic resin and is a major supplier to the automotive sector where its solutions are used in the production of car tires. In Europe, the group has three sites, two in Belgium (Genk and Gent) and one in Spain (Montornes). When COVID-19 forced critical business changes, the company needed to create a fast and secure link between the three European locations. SBHPP replaced its incumbent MPLS data line with a modern VMware SD-WAN solution, delivering greater flexibility and more stability in operations and a cost reduction on connections of up to 60 percent.
