Sterlite Technologies Limited (STL) is a global leader in optical fiber and data network solutions. The company designs and develops high-capacity converged fiber and wireless networks. To develop virtual network functions for 5G access solutions in a converged wireline-wireless environment for Telcos and other large enterprises, STL collaborated with VMware. The solution deployed has resulted in creation of a future-ready telco cloud foundation that can automate the deployment and lifecycle management of all cloud-ready data centers, from the core to the edge and to the RAN. The solution suite leverages VMware vCloud NFV for multi-cloud and multi-tenant architecture and Tanzu Kubernetes Grid packages for automation and ease of management.
